Advanced Thermal Camera Technology Transferred to Industry, ITS Booklet Launched
Launch of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Technology/Product Booklet and ToT of Thermal Camera to Industry
The Indigenous Technologies of Thermal Camera, crafted by CDAC Thiruvananthapuram under the InTranSE Program of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), were officially transferred to M/s Aditya Infotech (CP Plus). This marks a significant advancement in the Innovation, Science, and Technology sector, aligning with the Vikshit Bharat @2047 theme.
Thermal Camera: This state-of-the-art Smart camera is equipped with an integrated Data Processing Unit (DPU) to facilitate AI-based analytics. The homegrown technology is intended for use across various sectors such as Smart Cities, Industry, Defence, and Health. The camera has undergone comprehensive field testing and validation specifically for Road Traffic applications.
ITS Technology/Product Booklet:
As part of the InTRanSE program by the R&D group at MeitY, a range of technologies, products, and solutions developed for Traffic Control, Public Transit, Road Safety, and Traffic Application Sensors have been documented in a newly launched booklet. This publication aims to enhance public awareness of these innovations.
The ceremony for the exchange of technology transfer documents was attended by Sunil Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY; Bhuvnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary of MeitY; Professor H P Khincha; Sunita Verma, GC R&D in E&IT at MeitY, along with other senior government officials, and the CEO and CTO of relevant industries.
