Counting of votes for DUSU elections completed peacefully
Ronak Khatri president and Bhanu Pratap won for vice-president, Mitravinda secretary and Lokesh Chaudhary joint secretary
The counting of votes
for Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections 2024-25
was completed peacefully on Monday, November 25. According
to the final results, Ronak Khatri was the winner for the post of President by
getting 20207 votes out of 50689 votes
while Rishabh Chaudhary came second with 18868 votes.
Bhanu Pratap Singh was the winner for the post of vice-president by getting 24166 votes out of a total of 50918 votes
while Yash Nandal came second with 15404 votes. Out of the
total 50874 votes received for the post of Secretary,
Mitravinda Karanwal won by getting 16703 votes while
Namrata Jeph came second by getting 15236 votes. Out of
the total 50977 votes cast for the post of Joint
Secretary, Lokesh Chaudhary won by getting 21975 votes
while Aman Kapasiya came second by getting 15249 votes.
Prof Satyapal Singh, the
Chief Election Officer of DUSU Election 2024-25, said that
this time 8 candidates were in the race for the post of
President, 5 for the post of Vice President, 4 for the post of Secretary and 4 for the
post of Joint Secretary. Giving detailed information, he said that out of total
50689 votes received for the post of President, Aniket
Mandke got 2028 votes, Badee U Zaman got 844
votes, Pinky got 854 votes, Rishabh Chaudhari got 18868 votes, Ronak Khatri got 20207 votes,
Saavy Gupta got 2695 votes, Sheetal got 407
votes and Shivam Maurya got 880 votes. He said that 3906 students voted for NOTA.
Giving detailed
information of total 50918 votes received for the post of
Vice-President, he said that Ayush Mondal got 3650 votes,
Banashree Das got 2339 votes, Bhanu Pratap Singh got 24166 votes, Rovin Singh got 948 votes,
Yash Nandal got 15404 votes and NOTA got 4411
votes.
Prof Satyapal Singh
informed that a total of 50874 votes were cast for the
post of Secretary, out of which Adithyan MA got 3358,
Mitravinda Karanwal got 16703, Namrata Jeph got 15236 and Sneha Agarwal got 8806 votes. 6771 students voted NOTA for the post of Secretary.
He informed that a total
of 50977 votes were cast for the post of Joint Secretary,
out of which Aman Kapasiya got 15249, Anamika K got 5676, Anjana Sukumaran got 2417, Lokesh
Choudhary got 21975 and NOTA got 5660 votes.
