Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, today unveiled four books: Wings to Our Hopes- Volume 1 (English and Hindi), Rashtrapati Bhavan: Heritage Meets the Present, and Kahani Rashtrapati Bhavan Ki. The event, held in New Delhi, was also attended by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (I&B) L. Murugan and Secretary, I&B, Sanjay Jaju.

Speaking on the occasion, Chouhan said the books are a rich tapestry of the heritage of Rashtrapati Bhavan, symbolizing the Indian Republic. The compilation of speeches by President Droupadi Murmu is a treasure trove for democracy and society, reflecting her compassion towards all citizens, including women, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other deprived classes, farmers, armed forces, and youth. The Minister emphasized that the messages in these books will inspire every Indian to take flight with hope and aim for greater heights.

Chouhan highlighted the important points of view on agriculture and rural development found in the compilation, expressing confidence that reading President Murmu's speeches will broaden perspectives on the country's socio-economic challenges, achievements, and initiatives for self-reliance.

L. Murugan congratulated the Publications Division for regularly bringing out books on various subjects of public interest. He noted that these books are an authentic compilation of the President's thoughts on various issues and will serve as a valuable compendium for future generations.

After the event, the dignitaries presented a copy of the books to the President.

Wings to Our Hopes contains President Droupadi Murmu’s speeches delivered from July 2022 to July 2023. This book, brought out by the Publications Division, features 75 speeches divided into eleven sections, including addressing the nation, education, public service, the armed forces, the constitution and law, excellence, global outreach, cultural diversity, innovation and technology, heritage preservation, and women-led development.

Rashtrapati Bhavan: Heritage Meets the Present offers an in-depth exploration of Rashtrapati Bhavan, tracing its history, legacy, and architectural splendor. It provides vivid descriptions and stunning photographs of key areas like Ashoka Hall, Durbar Hall, Amrit Udyan, the library, drawing rooms, conference halls, and the President’s study. The book also chronicles the journey of each President of India, from Dr. Rajendra Prasad to the current President, Droupadi Murmu.

Kahani Rashtrapati Bhavan Ki presents nearly a hundred years of Rashtrapati Bhavan's history in simple words for children. Divided into three chapters – ‘Our President’, ‘Main Attractions of Rashtrapati Bhavan’, and ‘Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex’ – this book features various pictures and presents the information in an attractive style.
