Letters never decay: DU VC Prof Yogesh Singh
Dr. K.L. Johar’s two Books released in DU on
Wednesday
Not being able to develop a sense of patriotism in
one's mind by learning from social reformers is the biggest shortcoming: DU VC Prof
Yogesh Singh
India was first Slave India, then became Free India
and now it is New India. All these three needed social reformers in their
respective times. If we are not able to develop a sense of patriotism in our
minds by learning from those social reformers, then this is the biggest
shortcoming. Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi said
these words. Prof. Singh was addressing a book release function as the chief
guest at the convention hall of DU.
On this occasion, former Vice Chancellor of Guru
Jambheshwar University, Dr. K. l. Johar's two books “India's Greatest Reformers
– 51 Extraordinary Stories” and “Three Stellar Revolutionaries Who Rattled
British India” were launched.

Vinoba Bhave have been compiled. Most people do not even know about most of
these great persons. Therefore, it is important for such stories to come to
light. When you read these people again and again, you will know why a book is
needed.
Vinoba Bhave walked 48 thousand kilometers in the
country and people donated 45 lakh acres of land at his request. If we read
them, such characters will influence us. While discussing about Dr. Johar's
second book “Three Stellar Revolutionaries Who Rattled British India”, the Vice
Chancellor said that in this book he has written extensively on Bagha Jatin,
Ramprasad Bismil and Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Many facts related to these
revolutionaries have been exposed in the book.

Singh said that about 11 months ago, one of his books, "Uttar Pradesh ke
Swatantrta Senani", was also released in DU. Even at the age of 88,
writing two books in just 8 months is a great achievement for him. He described
Dr. Johar's very inspiring journey from rickshaw puller to Vice Chancellor.

books “India's Greatest Reformers – 51 Extraordinary Stories” and “Three
Stellar Revolutionaries Who Rattled British India”, the author of both books, Dr.
