Linking Health and Sanitation: Insightful Lecture at National Science Institute

During the Swachhata Pakhwada, the National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) hosted an enlightening lecture titled "Health and Sanitation: Both are linked together" in New Delhi. This event, led by Prof Shridhar Dwivedi, Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Head of Academics at the National Heart Institute, was held at the institute’s Vivekananda Hall as part of the 15-day programme aimed at promoting cleanliness and health awareness.
Prof Dwivedi elaborated on the crucial link between cleanliness and overall well-being, advocating for the continuation of sanitary habits developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. His address underscored the significance of maintaining cleanliness across physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions, noting that all religious traditions support such practices.
Prof Ranjana Aggarwal, Director of CSIR-NIScPR, affirmed the institute's commitment to embedding cleanliness into national ethos, aiming to elevate India's stature as a clean and healthy nation. The Swachhata Pakhwada initiative, she highlighted, plays a vital role in inspiring community involvement towards achieving a healthier, cleaner environment.
