PM Modi participates in Swachhta Abhiyan on Gandhi Jayanti
Urges citizens to take part
in cleanliness related activities
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi participated in Swachhta Abhiyan with
the youth of the nation on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. He also urged citizens
to take part in cleanliness related activities today, thereby strengthening the
Swachh Bharat Mission.
Modi posted on X: "Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, I took part in Swachhata
related activities with my young friends. I urge you all to also take part in
some or the other such activity during the day and at the same time, keep
strengthening the Swachh Bharat Mission. #10YearsOfSwachhBharat "
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also lauded the completion of 10 years
of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a momentous collective effort to make India Swachh
and ensure improved sanitation facilities.
He posted on X: “Today, we mark 10 years of Swachh Bharat, a momentous
collective effort to make India Swachh and ensure improved sanitation
facilities. I salute all those who have worked to make this movement a
success!”
Modi also paid
tribute to former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth
anniversary. In a post on X, he stated: “देश के जवान, किसान और स्वाभिमान के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित करने वाले पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी को उनकी जयंती पर आदरपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि।”
