Punjab's Harnaz Sandhu is Miss Universe 2021

Harnaz Sandhu from Punjab made India proud by winning the Miss Universe crown.
The 21-year-old represented India today at the 70th Miss Universe 2021, held in Eilat, Israel. Sandhu wins after Lara Dutta who won the Miss Universe crown in 2000.
The new Miss Universe
claimed the crown edging out Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira and South Africa's Lalela Mswane. Former Miss Universe 2020 from Mexico, Andrea Meza, presented the crown to Sandhu.
Sushmita Sen had won the Miss Universe crown in 1994 for the first time from India.
