Vice Chancellor's Conclave on Women Empowerment concludes today

New Delhi, March 3, 2025: The two-day Vice Chancellor's Conclave on "Women Empowerment: Past, Present & Future," organised by Asha Paras for Peace and Harmony Foundation, India, concluded successfully. The virtual conclave witnessed participation from esteemed vice-chancellors, academicians, researchers, social activists, and media representatives from across the country.
Day One: Intellectual Discussions and Brochure Launch
The first day of the conclave, March 2, 2025, began with a welcome address and keynote speech by Prof. Asha Shukla, former Vice-Chancellor, BRAUSS, and Managing Director, Asha Paras for Peace and Harmony Foundation. The event featured insightful deliberations by Prof. Neelima Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University, Sagar; Prof. Annapurna Nautiyal, former Vice-Chancellor, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University, Uttarakhand; Prof. Shubha Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University, Chhatarpur; Prof. Kalpalata Pandey, former Vice-Chancellor, Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia (Uttar Pradesh); Prof. Aruna Palta, former Vice-Chancellor, Hemchand Yadav University, Durg, Chhattisgarh; Prof. Vinay Kapoor Mehra, former Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat; and Prof. Ruby Ojha, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai.
During the event, Prof. Annapurna Nautiyal launched the brochure for the upcoming International Conference on "Breaking Barriers, Building Inclusive Spaces: Challenges and Strategies to Address Gender Disparities," scheduled to be held from November 15-17, 2025.
Day Two: Closing Session and Dialogue on Women Empowerment
The second day of the conclave, March 3, 2025, began with a welcome address by Prof. R.K. Shukla, Foundation Director, followed by a keynote speech by Prof. Asha Shukla. The session featured insights from Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Leh; Prof. Pramod K. Verma, Vice-Chancellor, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, Jabalpur; Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong; Prof. K.G. Suresh, former Vice-Chancellor, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal; and Prof. Jitendra Pandey, former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Adamas University, Kolkata.
Several distinguished scholars, including Prof. Kalpalata Pandey, Prof. Kusum Kumari, Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Prof. Aruna Palta, Prof. Shashikala Tripathi, Prof. Neelima Verma, Dr. Manisha Saxena, Dr. Tapan Kumar Sahu, Dr. Kamalaveni, Dr. Ramshankar, Dr. Manoj Gupta, along with researchers, social activists, and media representatives, actively participated in the discussions.
