1) Aadhar has a reach of international standards for identification given in the context of the globe which is increasingly getting digitalized

He said, "It wasn't easy to explain the concept and we had met state chief ministers, politicians, journalists, intellectuals. We told them there would be no breach of privacy. In this endeavor I had many colleagues without whose relentless work Aadhaar would not have been possible". Nilekani said, "After Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister I met him and he gave a patient hearing. He understood and was extremely helpful", added Nilekani.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Saurabh Garg said, "The workshop is an introspection-cum-exploratory endeavor by UIDAI that will have more scope for improvement as we are expecting effective suggestions in the next three days. It also aims to look into various futuristic aspects of Digital Identity to achieve universal inclusion, both social as well as financial".

Information technology Secretary Ajay Prakash Sawhney said, "Aadhaar has given people an identity that they previously lacked. He added it has helped create a digital identity rather than a physical one". Aadhaar has been used in bringing financial inclusion, broadband and telecom services, direct benefit transfers to the bank account of citizens.

The three-day workshop will not only discuss the success of Aadhaar and the achievements of UIDAI but will open doors for an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and suggestions including debates in order to make Aadhaar even more effective and better Digital Identity among various stakeholders.
