Brindavan gets state of the art multiplex by Jadooz Cinemas

Good news for all the cine buffs in the temple town of Brindavan. The city which is better known for its religious legacy and temples dedicated to Lord Krishna got its first multiplex and a cinema hall after nearly three decades. The 80-seat state-of-the-art cinema hall was opened at the Krishna Funland complex by the Jadooz group.

The multiplex was inaugurated by Laxmi Narayan Chowdhury, UP State Minister for Dairy, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries. While addressing the Press, the minister said, “Projects like these are very important especially in small cities and towns where people have limited sources of entertainment." The minister expressed hope that the multiplex will help locals to get a fresh breather when people are confined to their homes for months due to the Corona pandemic.” He complimented the group for arranging games for children who come to watch the cinema with their families.

The newly opened multiplex in Brindavan is among 13 completed projects to date. ‘Jadooz’ plans to open 42 more such multiplexes and take entertainment to the doorsteps of over 200 villages and remote districts across India. "Brindavan is the first step towards getting the 'First Day First Show' to the 110 crore Indians where affordable and quality Cinema has not reached. we expect to take this proposition to 1000 small towns by 2024 and bridge the entertainment and education divide," said Rahul Nehra, Founder, and Managing Director, Jadooz. He said there are many projects in the pipeline.

"I feel elated to see the project reaching its goal. Well, this was a long-cherished dream. The idea behind opening multiplex in Vrindavan was to throw upon the doors of entertainment for the people who miss the extravaganza booming across big cities,” said Kanika Singhal, the co-founder of the project.

The multiplex has all the civic amenities and a play station equipped with games and toys from toddlers to teenagers.  There are also arrangements for snacks, beverages, and cold drinks. The best part is the ticket and food are sold at a lower price as compared to multiplexes across cities. "Why should big city guys have all the fun? Now smaller town people can have some fun by watching the first-day first show in their respective towns at an affordable price and good quality. Thus empowering B and C Town citizens equally with Metro residents. Thus Jadooz is a Game changer in empowering small-town residents in terms of content consumption," said Vikas Mahajan, MD Growth Catalyst Corporate Real Estate.

The excitement among the locals was going overboard as they had come to watch the screening of the first day, the first show. Rohit Shetty’s ‘Suryavanshi’ taring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan, Ranbeer Singh, Jackie Shroff among others was screened as an inaugural show.
