Unlike earlier India International Trade Fair (IITF) at the Pragati Maidan, this year's trade fair remained very special in terms of welcoming young entrepreneurs who are trying to find a place for themselves by taking to business and not standing in the long queues for job hunting.

One such brand is La Pashmina, started by Kunzang Dolma from Leh Ladakh. "I have not come here for exposure since I feel this is a big platform and there are so many people who talk business here. I am selling my products too but my main objective of coming to IITF 2021 is reaching out to buyers", said Dolma who is focused. She and her partner Atul owns this brand. "I started this business when I met Atul", added Dolma.

Dolma who has been visiting the fair since 2018, finds 2021 IITF a little slump in terms of pulling business due to the pandemic.

Hailing from the beautiful mountains of Leh Ladakh, her prime focus has always been wool. La Pashmina deals vastly in Marino, Yak Wool, "Predominantly it's wool but I get my weaving done from across the Srinagar, Himachal Pradesh. I do Madhubani from Bihar and Aari Work from Bengal. The idea is to focus on the beautiful artwork across the country", said Dolma who maintained that her first love is Pashmina which has a huge demand among the buyers for its style statement. Dolma herself dressed in traditional attire of Ladakh looked stylish.

Dolma is not just an entrepreneur but also a qualified MSC in Environmental Science from Delhi University and plans to do her Post Graduation on Chavak cow. She is extremely serious about protecting natural habitat, "I am extremely sensitive towards the Chavak cows as they are very special for anybody in Ladakh", said Dolma. Being a student of Environmental Science, she feels issues discussed during the Climate Protocol should be implemented as there is a great need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect nature.
