The 40th India International Trade Fair (IITF) was the place to meet young people who have a vision and believe in the saying, Where there is a will there is a way. Two young entrepreneurs, Jagat Jeet Singh, Director of Business Intelligence, and Mridula Bhardwaj, Director of Business Development have started their own company called Plutusplus Plus. They not only started their earning but at the same time enabled many women to run their households during the pandemic.

The journey began with a novel idea in 2020 when the COVID pandemic was at its peak and people were scared to step out. They started making FMCG products from natural materials at home for themselves, relatives, and friends. "We were surprised to see the response of people whom we gave these products. We decided to take the risk and start manufacturing for commercial purposes at a small level", said Jagat Jeet Singh. Plutus Plus was born.

"Things were not easy initially as we too had teething problems but then we received an invitation from the Director of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) who invited us for a fair in Munger in Bihar", said Mridula Bhardwaj. They did not waste any time and reached Munger. They met a large number of women who wanted to do something but had no idea how to start. "This was our opportunity. We explained to them the scope of being an entrepreneur and earning their livelihood with dignity", added Mridula who informed today their NGO named 'Use of Available Resources with Valuable input' (URVI) has over 550 females, and more than 200 farmers associated with them. "We are funded by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)  having a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir state governments", said Mridula.

"Our vision is 'India to Bharat' and we stand by the slogan 'vocal for local' given by our Prime Minister. All our products are homemade and have natural ingredients. I feel youths should come forward and take an active part in creating awareness for entrepreneurship as it makes you self-reliant", said Jagat Jeet. Plutus Plus not only is walking ahead as an entrepreneur but also is taking the initiative to help these women learn various soft skills including public speaking. "If they can talk with confidence then half of the work is done as they are the best marketing people for their own products. Also, they don't fall prey to middlemen", added Jagat Jeet.

Plutus Plus has a huge range of products and plans to introduce many more in the future including a beauty line. Young entrepreneurs like Mridula and Jagat Jeet can not only infuse freshness into business strategies but also create new opportunities and make people self-reliant.
