"In the last seven years, the Modi government has brought a sense of assurance for the common man. Stability has come back across North East. Assam is peaceful, which has been facing violence. Manipur, which has seen continuous blockades (marathon bandh calls) is peaceful.  Today, we see people in Assam, Jammu and Kashmir celebrate national festivals like Independence Day by hoisting Indian tricolour", these were the opening words of  BJP National General Secretary (Organisation), B.L. Santhosh. He was speaking after releasing a book titled ‘Modi 2.0: A Resolve to Secure India'. An initiative of the Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation to highlight the developments and achievements in national security, and related aspects.

Complimenting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his vision and working relentlessly towards taking the country ahead on the path of development Santosh said, "Prime Minister Modi has done some record-breaking work that nobody could imagine. I remember Congress leader  Mallikarjun Kharge mocked Modi for raising toilets from the rampart of Red Fort on his first Independence Day speech. It was not required had the Congress thought about these things". He said India has been unmasked, people have found their rhythm and they all have found their space where they can do something to contribute to the country's development. "During COVID pandemic India extended support to many countries. Even now when the world is under the grip of Omicron, India is helping African countries. We have achieved our target in vaccination", added Santosh.

The book covers various areas of governance and other important issues, in which the BJP has performed with a fair amount of success. The editors of the book Anirban Ganguly, Bibek Debroy, Ranjit Panchanda, and Uttam Sinha also shared the dais and shared their views.

Speaking on this occasion former Director-General of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Ranjit Pachnanda said, "Prime Minister Modi has done immense work to strengthen national security. I have seen the North East before and now it's developing on all fronts. PM Modi has been able to infuse the national feeling among all. We find locals across remote North East not only talk in Hindi. They celebrate Independence Day and Republic Day".  Pachnanda congratulated Modi for his initiative to bridge the gap between government and defence personnel, "Immense development is taking place across border areas. Prime Minister visiting soldiers in Galwan valley or spending Diwali with them in Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh is commendable. Such gestures boost the morals of our soldiers".

Eminent economist and advisor to PM Bibek Deb Roy said, "Modi has thought of national security that should have been done long back. With the aggressive defence strategy, he has strengthened the borders". Roy mentioned the work the Modi administration has done in the field of police reforms. "The present government has been doing positive work in police reforms. Unfortunately, many are not aware of these initiatives".

Member, National Executive Committee (NEC), BJP and Hony. Director, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, Dr Anirban Ganguly Ganguly said, "In Modi 2.0: A Resolve to Secure India, we have tried to focus on certain aspects. We felt the need of having a special volume on national security". Ganguly said India aspires to emerge as a leading power standing on a solid foundation of a new security vision. "I don't claim we have been able to cover all aspects as immense work has been done and to include all that we need many volumes', added Ganguly.

"Irony, you have a book launch ground floor by Congress leader on the disaster of UPA, and another about disaster management by the NDA government", said Santosh taking a dig at Congress leader Manish Tiwari's book release.
