NCM takes suo moto cognizance regarding kidnap and murder of a Haryana boy

National Commission for Minorities (NCM) Chairperson, Iqbal Singh Lalpura has taken suo-moto cognizance of a news report regarding the kidnap and murder of a boy at Nuh, Haryana. National Commission for Minorities has taken the matter seriously and desired that a report may be sought from Chief Secretary.
Under section 9(d) of NCM Act, 1992, NCM has sought a report on the
following points:
i. What action has been taken against the culprits?
ii. How many people are yet to be arrested?
iii. Whether FIR was lodged? If yes, under which
section?
iv. What preventive measures have been put in place
to avoid such incidents?
The Chief Secretary, Haryana has been asked to submit report latest by January 27, 2022.
