NITI Aayog launches Special Campaign 2.0 for Swachhta

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) launched a special campaign for the resolution of outstanding issues from October 2 through October 31, 2021, with the goal of paying passionate homage to Mahatma Gandhi with "A Clean India." DARPG agreed to carry on the campaign in 2022 and again in 2023 as a result of its success. As a result, from November 2022 to August 2023, Special Campaign 2.0 was launched with the goal of ensuring the prompt and efficient resolution of public complaints, references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial Consultations, and Parliamentary Assurances by Ministries/Departments.

The NITI Aayog and its affiliated offices Development Monitoring & Evaluation Office (DMEO), Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) located in NITI Bhawan, and its autonomous institution National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD) located in Narela, New Delhi, launched the Special Campaign 2.0 for the resolution of outstanding issues and Swachhta. The campaign's main goal was to ensure that Parliamentarians, state governments, inter-ministerial consultations, and parliamentary assurances from departments and ministries were promptly and effectively resolved. The NITI Aayog is also implementing the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan "Special Campaign 2.0" which focuses on record management, cleanliness (indoor and outdoor), and office waste disposal.

Disposal of public grievances, parliamentary assurances, and PMO references have acquired traction throughout this campaign. Under record management, a sizable number of files were examined and weeded out, clearing space and earning money through the disposal of office waste. More than 75% of the physical files that were slated for inspection have already been examined.  In addition to the aforementioned, over 95% of public appeals and grievances have been resolved during the time. The obsolete items and surplus scrap have also been located for disposal.
