PM Modi unveils hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the India Gate

India Gate remained witness to a historical evening when Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary. The hologram statue will be placed under the canopy for six months till the granite statue is installed at the site. With the announcement of the installation of the statue of Netaji Bose, the long-pending speculation whose statue will come under the canopy has ended. The canopy was built to install a statue of King George V which was removed in 1968.


Home Minister Amit Shah said, "This is a historic moment as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose gets the place that he deserves and countrymen had been waiting for the moment for decades". 

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi after unveiling the hologram by pressing the remote control said, "Today's event is gratitude towards Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose for showing the way and getting independence". He also referred to the location of India Gate having the Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhawan apart from various government offices apart from the National War Memorial. "The statue will inspire the coming generations telling them  Netaji never bowed before the British. I feel elated to be a part of this historic moment", added PM Modi.

The tune of the famous marching song of the Indian National Army (INA) 'kadam kadam badayeja...khushi ke geet gaayeja...' was played while PM Modi unveiled the statue. Everybody present at the event stood up as a mark of respect to Netaji Bose.
