President and Vice President Extend Warm Greetings for National Festivals Celebrating New Beginnings

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and the Vice-President have extended their warm greetings to the nation on the eve of several regional new year festivals including Vaisakhi, Vishu, Bishub, Bahag Bihu, Poila Boishakh, Vaishakhadi, Puthandu, Meshadi, Naba Barsha, and Bohag Bihu, which will be celebrated across various parts of India on 13th and 14th April 2024.


In her message, the President highlighted that these festivals are vibrant expressions of India’s diverse cultural heritage and play a crucial role in promoting unity, harmony, and brotherhood. She noted that these occasions, celebrated in different regions under various names, act as symbols of social harmony, bringing new energy and enthusiasm into the lives of people. The President particularly honored the hard work of farmers, recognizing them as the backbone of society, and expressed gratitude for their contributions.


Similarly, the Vice-President's message emphasized the unique cultural significance of each festival and their collective embodiment of India's rich traditions and values.
