President Ram Nath Kovind embarks on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh for Bangladesh victory day's celebrations. The Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla informed about President's visit to Dhaka from December 15th to 17th when he will be meeting many Bangladesh leaders apart from taking part in the victory day's celebrations. This visit is significant in terms of the 50 years of the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Shringla informed that the President will be accompanied by a 122 tri-contingent that will march on December 16 in Dhaka in reciprocation to Bangladesh's gesture on Indian Republic Day last year, when a tri-service contingent staged a march past alongside the Indian military.

The visit by the Indian President will strengthen the bilateral relations between both countries.
