Prime Minister to inaugurate the 9th G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit (P20) on October 13 at New Delhi

The 9th G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit (P20) will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 13, 2023, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, starting around 11 AM. The Indian Parliament is hosting the summit as part of a larger initiative for India's G20 Presidency.

The 9th P20 Summit's theme, "Parliaments for One Earth, One Family, One Future," is consistent with the G20 Presidency of India. Speakers of Parliament from G20 members and invited nations will attend the event. After the African Union joined the G20 during the G20 Leaders' Summit in New Delhi on September 9–10, 2023, the Pan-African Parliament will participate in the P20 Summit for the first time.

The P20 Summit's thematic sessions will concentrate on the following four topics: accelerating SDGs, women-led development, transformation in people's lives through public digital platforms, and sustainable energy transition.

On October 12, 2023, a pre-summit Parliamentary Forum on LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) will also be convened to discuss efforts aimed at a greener, more sustainable future that coexists with nature.

There will be four sessions after the summit's opening one. The Draught Programme and Concept Note contain information about the Session. Two to three Speakers of Parliament will be invited to provide opening remarks for each session. The length of each keynote address shall not exceed seven minutes.

The Chairperson/Moderator will allow other delegates to speak after the keynote addresses, taking into account the registrations obtained for each agenda item. Four minutes is the time limit for interventions. Because each session will have a different theme, please indicate your speaker's preferred order for the keynote addresses and interventions while completing the online registration form provided by the DAO.
