Production at Coal India Ltd. Increases to approx 51 million tonnes

In September 2023, the Ministry of Coal significantly increased global coal output, achieving a total of 67.21 million tonnes (MT), above the 58.04 MT produced in the same month the previous year, an increase of 15.81%. With a gain of 12.63%, Coal India Limited's (CIL) production increased to 51.44 MT in September 2023 from 45.67 MT in September 2022. The cumulative coal output (up to September 2023) has increased 12.06% in the past year, from 382.16 MT in the same period of FY 22-23 to 428.25 MT in FY 23-24.

The amount of coal dispatch also increased significantly in September 2023, rising to an astonishing 70.33 MT, a 15.12% increase over the 61.10 MT it reached in September 2022. At the same time, Coal India Limited (CIL) dispatch displayed exceptional success, increasing by 12.57% to 55.06 MT in September 2023 from 48.91 MT in September 2022. A considerable increase of 10.96% was noted in the Cumulative Coal Dispatch (up to September 2023) which increased to 462.32 MT in FY' 23-24 from 416.64 MT during the same time in FY' 22-23.
