RAISE 2020: Responsible AI For Social Empowerment from 11-12 April 2020 at Vigyan Bhawan to be inaugurated by PM Modi

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India is organizing Global Artificial Intelligence Summit 2020 on 11th and 12th of April 2020, at New Delhi in collaboration with NITI Aayog and IT Industry. The theme for this conference is “AI for Social Transformation, Inclusion and Empowerment”. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has kindly consented to inaugurate this event on 11th April,2020.With 1.21 billion phone users and 630 million internet users, India is a data rich country of the world. Driven by the visionary initiative of Digital India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is scripting a new narrative of social transformation, inclusive growth and empowerment using the power of technology. Availability of data, innovation driven startup ecosystem and a leadership that encourages adoption of emerging technologies for transformation of economy and society, places India among the leading countries to leverage the AI revolution. I strongly believe that together we can evolve strategies to leverage AI to solve some of the biggest challenges of society.The objective of the two-day event will outline the vision India has for utilizing the power of Artificial Intelligence for transforming the society for good. The goal is to outlay a roadmap for the key technology stakeholders across the globe to come together to harness the potential of AI and apply the same in various social sectors like Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Transportation and Mobility and Smart Infrastructure. The event will play the role of a global platform for the stakeholders across sectors to showcase their AI used cases and share expertise further creating a mass awareness about the need to ethically develop and practice AI in the digital era. The event will thrive to establish India as the country which harnesses the power of AI for societal good driven by the innovation and entrepreneur minds of the country.The organisers say they are expecting to host around 2000 delegates for more than 100 countries, working on various fields of Artificial Intelligence.
