Union Minority Affairs Min Naqvi inaugurates Hunar Hat at 40th IITF

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi inaugurated the 33rd Hunar Haat at the 40th India International Trade fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan. 

Speaking to the PRESS on this occasion the minister emphasised on the 'vocal for local' slogan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, "The mantra of vocal for local by PM Modi has opened doors for many people across the country. It has proved an effective mechanism for India's economy and self-reliance".

Over 550 artisans from 30 states and union territories are showcasing their 'wonderful indigenous' homemade products at the IITF. 

Naqvi complimented the prime minister for taking the initiative to promote the traditional handloom-handicraft that has a rich legacy. The minister said is a need to promote these products as they not only reflect India's art but will enable many artisans to earn their livelihood. 

Ambassador of Iran and Kuwait to India Ali Chegeni and Jasim Ai-Nazem were present on this occasion.
